2026 Hipcamp Awards Best in Colorado — Private 120-Acre Horse Sanctuary
2026 Hipcamp Awards · Best in Colorado

Our Sanctuary Collection was named Best in Colorado.

Our Private 120-Acre Horse Sanctuary has been recognized in Hipcamp's 2026 Best in Colorado awards. Come experience the ranch for yourself — and know that every stay helps support the rescued animals of Journey with Equus.

This recognition belongs specifically to the Sanctuary Collection—our current canvas-stay experience at Raison d’Être Ranch.

Come back to what matters.

120 acres of open sky, quiet trees, and a rescued herd — home to Colorado Glamping, an adults-only escape built to give back.

Colorado Glamping is the name for everything we're building on this ranch — two distinct ways to stay, one shared reason for being.

Tucked into the trees, built for slowing down.

On the back side of the ranch, in a stand of quiet pines, our original tents wait for you. Adults-only, unhurried, and simple by design — every stay here helps support Journey with Equus, the rescued herd that calls this ranch home.

SoulFire Vacation Home Collection

Own a place at SoulFire.

Each year, only four distinctive vacation homes will be offered for private purchase, with no more than two or three of any one style. At least one Conestoga-style wagon is available now, starting at $200,000+, while future A-frame, mirror-home and other designs are selected.

Explore Vacation Home Ownership

Vacation-home ownership does not include the land; a separate land-lease fee applies. This opportunity is completely separate from the $50 Founding Guest deposit.

For your biggest moments

However you're celebrating, we'll help you do it right.

Proposing under an open sky. A milestone with the people who matter most. However you're marking the occasion, guests get access to The Curated Circle — a small, hand-picked, invite-only network of vendors. It's the only way outside vendors are permitted on the property for these moments.

Journey with Equus

A 501(c)(3) raising awareness of everything horses have to give beyond the saddle, through equine-partnered wellness programs for more than 100 rescued horses, mules, donkeys, and ponies. Every SoulFire stay helps fund this work — so the herd's care depends on guests, not just donations.

What we're proving here won't stay here. We're building a way to help other grassroots, land-owning nonprofits create the same kind of sustainable model — so their work can outlast the fundraising cycle.

If you're a grassroots nonprofit that owns its own land and wants another path to sustainability, join the waitlist below.
